RM is a faith-based charity whose purpose is to enable children with disabilities in China to build faith, experience love, and find hope through our services.

As a psychotherapist with several year's experience, I believe even professional training would provide very limited help to others - especially among people with special needs - without the support of faith.

In addition to God's very clear guidance, my commitment to serve through RM (beginning in 2014) was also because of the four Gospels. When the Lord Jesus entered history, he walked through the suffering of the world. He used his hands, rough but full of grace and power, to touch people who were broken in body and soul to bring forth healing and renewal.

 

We fly over a thousand miles, beyond oceans and mountains, to reach out to children with disabilities and their families who are sitting in darkness and despair on the other side of the world waiting for a beam of light burning with love to shine upon them. Through close contact and constant support from our ministry partners and local co-workers, regular visits to the country, our sponsorship program and emergency support, we are willing to be the hands of our Lord Jesus, embracing one child at a time through thick and thin, laughter and tears. We grow together through this journey of life.

 

Fifteen years have flown by. We thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity to walk together and embark on such a journey. Along the way we have been blessed to see the perseverance of people in poverty and hardship and accompany them as they work through bitterness and despair. We can't cure all the miseries of the world, but we must learn to trust the Lord who is in charge of everything, cope with all kinds of regrets, and move forward with your continued support and encouragement.
